Darren dropped in at the Fanzine for a surprise chat while testing their new chat room software today. Congratulations to those of you who were in the right place at the right time and got to hang with him for a bit. This wasn't publicized at all. There is a transcript of the chat posted in the member's section of the Fan Club site. Since it hasn't been released in the public section yet, we can only paraphrase what happened for you and thanks Francesca for doing this:

Darren's enjoyed his time off since December...it feels like being on holiday for him, just hanging out at home. He has started tinkering a bit in the studio and is using a piano to write songs, a new thing for him. Wally (his new puppy) is a bit under the weather but doing okay. Once Darren saw Patrick Stewart (Star Trek's Captain Piccard) in a park in London, but didn't remember his real name, so didn't approach him. hehe. Darren loves his decadent and stylish IMAC Ipod laptop computer. :p He's enjoying the screenwriting class he's taking. When asked about the recent large war demonstration for peace that happened in San Francisco, Darren said the demonstration wasn't 'peaceful' at all, and unfortunately there was a lot of violence (which he doesn't agree with at all). Darren is alergic to cats. awwwww. He recently saw the new movie A View From The Top and enjoyed it. He's got three guitars now and DOES know more than 4 chords. lol! When asked if he would record his new album in Canada, he said he'd most likely stay close to home to be there for Wally and that he loves Canada and couldn't believe his record company didn't take him there for Spin. He ended the session with letting them know he wanted to be remembered long after the chat. hehehe. How cute.
